As a producer and engineer, Michael works regularly with Vancouver singer songwriter Reid Jamieson, as well as a variety of other artists from every genre – credits below. Working on both sides of the mixing board, he has also been crafting his own songbook, working towards an all original album soon. Wiggly Toes West is the name of the home studio he runs with wife, recent work includes live off the floor recordings of Valley favourites the Copper Canyon Band as well as releasing some vintage tracks from past bands he performed with. Upcoming will see Michael working with Reid Jamieson & CVM on the album for their award winning musical on the causes of homelessness The Pigeon & The Dove.
Born in Kent, I cut my teeth in London England from 1977-1999 as a Live & Studio Musician/Engineer/Producer. Producer/Engineer at Battery Studios working for Zomba Music Group, Coombe Music International, Silvertone Records, Jive Records. Mix engineer for TV commercial producers, K-Tel Records & others (clients including BMW, American Airlines and FitPro UK). Fifteen years of sessions at numerous London UK Studios, including: Battery UK, The Strongroom, EMI Abbey Road, CBS Soho Square, TPA Denmark St. Moved to Canada in 1999.
Currently living on Vancouver Island with my wonderful wife and partner in all things, Mose. Songcraft has always been a part of me, and now I am devoted to it. I have studied many genres up close. I’m an adept drum and synth programmer, Studio One and ProTools HD operator, currently learning Davinci Resolve. All-round musician/arranger/singer, I play half a dozen instruments pretty well and I love to write and sing songs. Volunteering has become a passion, from doing front of house and stage sound for various festivals and events, to facilitating various songwriting workshops and Song Circles on Vancouver Island.
